Today, thanks to major technological advances, we are able to enjoy the beauty of natural stone with all the benefits of porcelain stoneware. Tilestone is composed of 7 mm marble and 3 mm latest generation porcelain stoneware, thus making it easier to handle and to lay. It is a product which improves on the physical properties of natural stone. In fact, the level of impact resistance is 3.5 times greater than that of natural stone and its flexural strength is 5 times higher thus minimising the risk of breakage during transport. Thus, CONSIDERABLE SAVINGS are achieved in the cost of laying the tiles, transport and in time taken to do the work.
Tilestone may be used for paving or for tiling walls. Moreover, it is such a meticulously finished product that it will not require re-polishing. Being thinner than normal marble, it is recommended for use in home renovations, lightweight partition walls, paving in the marine sector, and it is especially suitable for floors with under floor heating since porcelain is a heat conducting material.
